This Years Theme: Battle of the Illusionists
Come see what happens when two remarkable friends face off against each other in a mind-blowing contest of illusion and wonder! The impossible will appear possible as they compete against each other to win the votes of the students. As their friendship is stretched to the limit, both the two illusionists and the students will learn that true friendships are selfless, faithful, and forgiving because a true friend loves at all times.
True Friendships
By the time a child turns eleven years old they have had many friendships. Yet up until this point, most friendships are based on geography. For years their peers are friends simply because they went to the same school or lived in the same neighborhood. Friendships become complex during the volatile preteen years. Preteens realize this and see that they have a choice when it comes to choosing friends.
SuperStart! will tackle this issue head-on by focusing on Proverbs 17:17 and looking at how Jesus and others from the Bible handled their friendships. The goal at SuperStart! this year is not only to help preteens make smart choices in their friends but also to help them understand what it means to be a true friend.
